JAYESH MALANI

CO-FOUNDER - NIMAD,
MUSICIAN & FILMMAKER

Jayesh Malani, a multi-disciplinary artist from Bombay, India, blends music and filmmaking to create unique, textural works that he finds hard to put into words. He tends to find magic in imperfections & keeping things raw. He plays guitar and saxophone, composes for films, and directs, shoots, and edits videos. Notable projects include his debut audio-visual EP 'Full/Circle,' documenting eight years of his life, Crying and the Nimad Album with songs like 'Pyaro Pyaro' and 'Harbola Blues.' He plays live with Osho Jain, Bhrigu Sahni, Sameer Rahat and has guested with artists like Sona Mohapatra, Ankit Tiwari, Parvaaz , Gauri and Aksha, Mir Kashif Iqbal, Aankh Micholi, Utsavi Jha to name a few. The Nimad project, a dream venture, involved everything he has wanted to do from working with folk groups, recording in a mud house to performing with an 18-piece band live. Their premiere night sold out, and they played at the Serendipity Arts Festival in Goa last December. The Nimad Album is set to release this year while he is already cracking on his new solo record (set to release next year).
