Sanjay Tandon has spent 35 years shaping India’s music copyright and royalty landscape, pioneering collective copyright management in the country. He played a key role in building IPRS into an internationally recognised rights society and has now championed & secured royalty rights for singers and musicians through ISAMRA. His work has also influenced India’s copyright framework, including the 2012 Copyright Amendments and the landmark 2022 industry agreement securing royalties for Singers and Musicians Today, he serves as Founder & Managing Director of ISAMRA and is also the Convenor of the 1-Window Music Licensing Committee.
