Reema Maya is an award-winning filmmaker known for her eclectic commercials, music videos, and socially-relevant fiction. She is a two-time Sundance Film Festival nominee. Her 2018 short ‘Counterfeit Kunkoo’ won over 40 awards, as did her 2023 short “Nocturnal Burger” which also qualified for the Oscars and won 3 Critics Choice Awards. In 2023, Reema founded and co-curated ‘Alp’, a short-form video festival with Soho House Mumbai. Her studio, CATNIP, has produced notable music videos for artists like DIVINE, Ritviz, Badshah and Prateek Kuhad, and worked with festivals like NH7 Weekender. CATNIP also created award-winning brand films, including Puma’s ‘Propah Lady’ and Bumble’s ‘Love Will Find A Way’. She has crafted campaigns for global brands like Spotify, Netflix, H&M, Royal Enfield, Jeep, Uber, and Red Bull, among many others.
