Deepa’s love for all things digital and musical led her to an enriching career in the media space. She has headed large audio-based projects like Airtel My Song My Story for Universal Music India and Closeup Websinger for Fame Digital and worked closely with OTT platforms. Her specialisation lies in various aspects of digital content including – strategy, curation, production, acquisition and operations. She currently works with Horus Music and its sister company Anara Publishing, focusing on business development within the Indian market. Some key responsibilities include, signing up new talent, finding commercial & promotional channels for artists, providing white label solutions to distributors, partnering with new platforms and engaging with creative houses. She hosted the 6-part Music Publishing Simplified IG Series presented by Horus Music India. Eager to continue her learning of the music industry from a global perspective, she is also pursuing a masters’ degree in Music Industry Studies from the University of Liverpool.
